Just wondering what car would be big enough? We are considering Acura RDX, Acura MDX (both certified pre owned)and GMC Terrain.

If you have two kids, what car do you have?

GMC Acadia (2015 is bigger than the new one)

Next car in a few months will either be Durango, explorer or new traverse.

We had an RDX and felt like we outgrew it. We bought an MDX and I couldn't be more in love.

our boys are 3 and 6. we have a Toyota RAV 4, and a Subaru Outback. love both cars... but we do feel like we're outgrowing them now. we're gonna look into a van or Highlande or other SUV with a 3rd row.

especially since my older son is school age now, it would be nice to have extra room to carpool with his little friends places. plus, my parents and in laws all live out of town so would be nice to all go in one car when they're here for dinner or whatever.

I bought my Sienna just before having my 2nd. We wanted the extra room for road trips.

2016 Toyota Highlander Limited - I am madly in love with my SUV, I love every single thing about it. Beautiful ride, cozy interior, tons of space especially with only 2 kids. I highly recommend it.

We have an RDX and MDX (Rdx is older). Definitely go with the MDX, I love the extra space. The RDX felt so cramped. We keep the third row folded down and have a huge trunk, can easily fold up an extra seat/row if we need to.

We have a jeep grand cherokee laredo and I feel like while the trunk is spacious, it's cramped in the back row. Our lease is up soon and we are looking for an SUV with a third row

I only have one, but I have the Durango and I am in love.

So roomy even with rear facing car seat. I have the captain chairs, so easy access to the back even if you have two car seats. And the back seats are actually roomy and comfortable.

Best choice I made, and it drives so smoothly.

Are these all SUVs and Mini Vans?

My kids are 1 and 3. When we have to drive somewhere we use either my parent's Camry or my IS300.

The IS300 is pretty tight in the back with my wife and the 2 car seats (plus little trunk space)
But the Camry seems pretty good sized.

With only 2 kids - why aren't more of you getting a full size car instead?
I never drove a minivan or suv before, but it seems like it would be ALOT tougher to drive than a car.
I did back up my friend's Pilot years ago and that thing felt like a boat, when I turned around it seems like the back window was too far to even see!

Loooooove SUV's. I had one before I had kids too, I have no interest in driving a car. I love being up high, love the space, love the ride. I'll never go back to a car.

I have a Highlander. I like it well enough... it's definitely better than the sedan I had right before it. However, I wish I had just gotten another F-150 Lariat Supercrew pickup truck. I loved my last one... favorite truck ever.

I've driven cars, trucks, SUVs... and even a 17 passenger wheelchair van. So I've driven vehicles of all shapes and sizes. I vastly prefer driving a pickup truck, but I enjoy driving the SUV as well. Driving a car was my least favorite. I felt cramped all the time, even though I really wasn't. I recently had to drive my DH's commuter car - tiny little thing - I didn't mind driving it, I guess, but by the time I got my SUV back, I had a backache from leaning way down to buckle my kid into the car seat lol.

Once you get used to driving/backing up/parking an SUV or a truck, it's really no big thing. Just have to cut your teeth on a 7-11 parking lot. After that, everything else is simple Chat Icon (As an aside, why does it seem that 7-11 parking lots are so difficult to navigate? lol)

I prefer a sedan but I am tall and bending down to help kids with stuff such as seatbelts, the suv is better. I am leanign towards not getting a third row SUV ... I will probably get a two row CPO acura RDX. Once the 2 kids are gone, hubby and I will get a nice sedanChat Icon I can't justify a thrid row vehicle with 2 kids.

I think I recall you're in the city. I don't like to drive anything or even be a passenger in the city.
I have 3 DC and I love my sliding doors and the extra space.
