If you have your eyebrows waxed-
..do you get little tiny bumps afterwards? kind of like little pimples where the wax was? is there anything i can do before i go to prevent them?

I do no get them, but my mother does. The make-up artist i used for my wedding (Oksana) told my Mom not to use the lotion they put on afterwards. She said it aggravates your hair follicles, and that's what causes the bumps.

i can't get my eyebrows waxed anymore because of this. I can't stand those little pimples and the irritation. I would rather pluck everyday!!

Me too! I will go and get my eyebrows tweezed at a spa now because of that!

I used to sometimes get bumps, but the redness after the waxing was my biggest issue. that's why I hardly ever go anymore. I pluck them myself... even though it looks nicer when they're waxed.

yeah - i do my own plucking most of the time but every few months i like to start fresh with a waxing.
looks like i'll forego the lotion. and there i was asking the woman to put MORE on, because i thought it would prevent those bumps!

I get the bumps all the time. I use astringent after the waxing, it helps.

I used to, but now they make sure the wax is a little cooler and it doesnt happen anymore. Also, I wash my face as soon as I get home.

I never get the bumps, but then again, I never use the lotion!
I bring my own baby oil, and they use that instead. They also use sensitive skin wax on me, because my skin is so tempermental!

I used to get them when I got waxed but now I get my eyebrows threaded and I never have had that problem since than.

Yup, threading was much easier on the after-effects for me. But I was exhausted after that ordeal. The pain made my toes curl.
Although I loved how it looked, I'm afraid to go back so I tweeze daily.

same here!!! I used to be red for a few days after waxing, now I thread, no red, no bumps!

The pain is not so bad, believe me, I'm sure you've been through much worse. And if you find a good one, its over in 2 minutes.

I didn't think it was bad at all. If you get waxed, then you can deal with threading.
I don't do threading because I start getting claustrophobia with the woman over me for that long. At least with the wax they are back and forth to the wax container.
