If you let your toddler wear nail polish ...
either as a treat or special occasion or whatever, do you use special children's polish? What about remover?
I let my mom buy Ann some Piggy Paint polish and used it as a potty training reward. The polish is supposed to be non-toxic or whatever and came with remover but it really doesn't seem to work well at all.
Anyway, I'm wondering what other options there are out there or do you just use regular polish and remover?

Re: If you let your toddler wear nail polish ...
I just use regular. For my almost 3 year old, I don't paint her fingers because she sucks on them, I just paint her toes.
When my first DD was a toddler, she never ever put her fingers in her mouth so I painter her toes and fingers with the regular polish.

Re: If you let your toddler wear nail polish ...
I use regular polish. We got a whole bunch from a teenager looking for a new 'look'. So AJ will sport pink, blue, yellow, green, orange, purple. Whatever she feels like. I think her last experiment had me painting one set of toes blue and the other set yellow.
I use regular non acetone nail polish.
She got her nails painted at a school faire near our house. Then it was in high demand. I had to paint her nails at LEAST weekly. Then after about 2months she sort of fell off the wagon. Thankfully! So its a lot less now.
I have to say my kid is SPOILED rotten! She gets a nice long bath, the mama rubs her head to toe with aquafor or lotion while she its in her little cushioned chair in the living room watching her disney movie. Then I stand her up and let her lean on me (since I'm sitting on the floor) then I rub her whole back and butt, back of legs, put on her undies and jammies. Sit her back down, put on her shirt and comb out her hair. Then I sit back down on the floor and do her nails, clean, clip and polish. Toes first then hands (if we're doing both sets). If not a nail day then its just longer time at her hair.
Girl nearly always falls sleep in her chair! LOL

My dd has Hello Kitty polish from Target. It just comes off in the bath or shower. I have never had to use remover on it.

Re: If you let your toddler wear nail polish ...
My DD is 3.5 and I've been polishing her toenails for a few months now and I just use regular polish and remover. All of the other stuff is such garbage, I've yet to find a better option. I don't polish her fingernails though, she's a thumb sucker so I feel it's better to keep her fingernails clean and bare.
