If you only had 5 mins to leave your house...
What would you bring?
The fires in California have really made me think.
I would take my hard drive, important papers, pictures, medication, and I really have no idea what else.

My family, my dog, and anything else of importance (pictures, papers, sneakers, hard drive, clothes, wedding video, toothpaste and undergarments!) AND my SATC DVD collection.

People and pets only. Nothing else matters that much to me.
I do have a fire proof safe with all of our important documents in it that would hopefully withstand the flames.

5 minutes? Kids, dog, medicine. I have my photos backed up in a few places, and important documents are in fireproof boxes, so I would hope for the best. As long as my family was OK, we can always rebuild.

I couldn't live without my puppy. My house can burn to shreds, but without my dog, it all means nothing.

I have been thinking about this too. I never thought of the hard drive but that is a really good one!
Photos & Scrapbooks
Documents (I keep saying we need to put them all in one waterproof box but never do it)
Hard Drive 
Banking Documents (passbooks, checkbook, account numbers)
All cash and credit cards that we have
Clothes, diapers, food for DS
Medication
Cell Phones & Chargers
First Aid Kit
Emergency Bag (has water, food & clothing in it)

hopefully dh and i would both be there... i'd have him grab the small fireproof safe, that has our good jewlery, important documents, wedding dvd and discs with photos on them. i'd try to grab as many pictures as i could, try to stuff some clothes into a bag, my pocketbook and our cells... the dog and the rabbit.
