My husband. Nothing else in our home is irreplaceable.
If I had time, I'd grab our wallets & cell phones, some important documents, a few of my favorite pieces of clothing, my laptop, clean undies and certainly get dressed (if I was in PJs). DH would probably want to save at least one of his guitars a well.

After the fire in my apt. building one of my neighbors told me all she could think of was to pee & put on a bra before she left.
Neither of those even occured to me. I went out in the sweats I was sleeping in.

My family and as much as I could gather around my house in 5 minutes. I would probably grab a change of clothes for the family, some jewelry, Kiera's favorite stuffed animal and pictures. Anything that's not within arms reach is getting left behind.

Important papers, some pictures or home videos, my wedding ring, a change of clothes, and my wallet.
My husband would most likely grab his Laptop and computer tower.

Okay ... you're probably going to think I'm nuts when I say this, but ...
I have four storage bins in my basement marked "Evacuation." In them, is everything my family of four and I would need to live short-term outside of our home.
The only other thing I would take would be the fireproof box with the paperwork.
I panic ... and I don't think I would know what to take on such short notice. So, I decided to prepare myself years back when I could think and plan clearly.
