We plan to call this home for the next 30 years. We'll do refinements to the home when it's needed and we can afford it, but we're very happ with where we found our home, and the area it's in.

It's not our dream house but it works for now. We don't have a dining area so that's really a problem. I still want to make it work and stay for a while.

But def. not my retirement house.

We bought our first home knowing that it was not our last. Even though the home was gorgeous and very spacious, we just wanted more and after 5 years moved into a larger home. This home is not our reitrement home, however we will be here until our children go off to College

You never know. I think yes...we will most likely stay here for a while. Its a great house with room to expand if we choose, good neighborhood and SD. We really like it.

we bought this home knowing we wouldn't want to be in it forever. We like to move around - so who knows if the next house will be the until retirement house.

We bought our home with the intention of staying <5 years.

I think we could IF we expanded it; we have a large amount of property & definite room to expand; we love the town and DH is truly fixing up the house the way we want it, yet I still think we need more room...especially if we have 1-2 more kiddos.

We will most likely sell and move to a new house. Our house is not really big enough to raise a family in, but who knows where life will take us.
When the time comes we will take in all the factors and decide which is more beneficial, moving to a larger home or adding on to this one.

We bought the house with the thought that IF we wanted to stay, we would have enough room and not have to leave. We did work to the house in case we stayed, the house would be done to our liking.

As time has gone on, the house does not suit our wants and needs half as much as it did back when we bought it. So we have done a LOT of work, while keeping property values in mind, and plan to sell in a few years or less. I guess anything could happen and we could stay, but highly unlikely.

We want more space, more property, a better location, better schools, so much more.

our home now is definitely a starter. Depending on how our jobs go we will probably move again before we are settled in "the house."

We bought or house planning for forever, but we may have to move some day for Joe. Once he's done with school he can start looking for a better job in Operations and at the Vice-President level. My vote is for somewhere west and cold with TONS of snow

When we get much older we will move. It is a spilt and that is too many stairs for an old lady

dont want to say never but i really believe that we will be living in this house that we are in the process of purchasing for yrs to come bc we both really love it and the neighborhood

Owned a condo first, that was my starter home. Just bought a house, bought it for life. It's 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and 4.5 miles from our jobs.

We love our house and could stay here if we have to. That said, I would love to upgrade to an even bigger house, in the same area, in the future.....or we can just add a level

Either way we are happy!

We plan on staying in our house for a few years...maybe 5. DH wants to move off LI because the cost of houses is so out of control . I will only move to a location where I have one of my 2 brothers. My younger brother lives in VA which is more expensive that LI. My older brother lives in Delaware, so we will most likely move there in about 5 years.

We plan on staying here for a while!
When we started looking, we were prepared to find a starter home and move in a few years...but we lucked out and found a house in our price range in a great neighborhood with enough room for us and a few kids. So we're here to stay!

This is our second house so we are here for the long haul, at least until I retire in 20 years.

I'd rather buy a vacation house somewhere else than buy a bigger house in the same town.

The only other thing I'd do is buy new construction if they did a new development in my town.

the house we are buying is my grandparents, and we have full intention on living there forever. dh and i have discussed it and because of sentimental value, i think even if we were to win the lotto we'd still stay in that home.

totally buying up in a few years...
its ok for now.. its a great 'starter' house.. but long term not really that great we want more land and bigger bedrooms..
our next move however will be our 'forever' house

My house is big enough - but there are def. things I would want down the road (huge kitchen for one) so we will def. move in a few years.

When we first bought this house though we said we would live here forever - things change over time.
