If you send your child to daycare/sitter with food,
What do you send for breakfast?
DS' favorite breakfast is a spinach and cheese omelet. Can I make this in advance and send it with him to be reheated? would that be gross? He's a total egg boy.
He won't eat a banana. I can't blame him, the consistency makes me gag.
I usually send him with oatmeal and fruit, sometimes oatmeal and applesauce. it's his 2nd favorite to the omelet.
He'll eat toast with cream cheese, but sometimes he likes to just lick the CC off and throw the bread.
Not a huge fan of pancakes or french toast.
I'm just looking for some new ideas - i never know if i'm feeding him enough. He was such a big infant, but since he's been crawling/cruising/walking, he's really slimmed down and he's now average. I saw his shoulder blades for the first time in 10 months today!
Thanks!

Re: If you send your child to daycare/sitter with food,
Sometimes I send DS with eggs, broccoli and onions. I cook it the morning right before we walk out the door so it is at room temp by the time we get to daycare. No need to reheat.
I sometimes provide yogurt with fruit mixed in. She gives him pancakes or waffles the other day and a side of fruit.

How about mini waffles? Does he eat fruit - blueberries, grapes, cut up peaches, etc? DS loves breakfast bars, yogurt, and hash browns when we go out to eat.

Re: If you send your child to daycare/sitter with food,
I send DS with eggs to his sitter pretty often.
What I do is put everything in a small tupperware...DS uses lactaid milk so I season the egg & put his milk in....she just scrambles it. Just put it all together!
Also, DS LOVES the breakfast chicken sausage from Trader Joes with is eggs.
Fresh cut up fruit is a hit here for breakfast...strawberries are a fave with canned (in juice) peaches as next fave lately!
Yogurt is good for breakfast too if he likes it. DS used to eat at least 2-3 times a week for breakfast...he is currently on a yogurt strike though
Plus mini waffles too!!
BTW...DS also licks the cream cheese off anything I give him!!

I send DS with eggs all the time. I usually cook them the night before and put it in a small tupperwear thing and I guess she heats it up.
He loves eggs too - it's the quickest and usually, easiest thing to get him to eat.
