If you traveled from JFK with a toddler, I have 2 questions...
Is the long term parking far (jetblue) from the actual terminal? - We want to drive ourselves so we have the car and car seat with us, but can't lug around luggage and toddler 5 miles to a terminal.
If you didn't bring your car seat - was the DC ok in the seat or did you use a different method (they sell a harness type seatbelt for planes)

I don't have kids, but you take the AirTrain from the LTP to the terminal. it's not bad at all..and if you are parked far from the AirTrain there's a shuttle bus, but we've never bothered taking it. We can usually find parking within a decent distance.

I don't know the answer to your question, but could you get dropped off at the terminal with your DC & luggage while your DH goes to park the car?

One we did it, Dh dropped me off at the terminal with Alex, with our luggage, while he parked the car in long-term parking, and took the shuttle back to the terminal.
The last time we did it we only had two suitcases, so we all parked in long-term parking, I put DD in her stroller, and DH carried the luggage, while we all took the shuttle from long-term parking to the terminal - took about 5-10 minutes on the shuttle.

ok, i think I will have him just drop us off and park - that is the easiest, I am not bringing stroller either. Thanks all !
would a shuttle bus require a car seat?

We left out of jfk with dd in feb and had fil drop us off- was not paying for parking- we did not take a car seat with us- just stroller-she sat in her seat on the plane just with reg seat belt- she put on the head phones and watched the tv (that was great) and she did well the entire flight-- when we got to Orlando we had a car seat with the rental car- it was the same we have at home- just so much easier without having to lug everything and keep an eye on a 2 1/2 year old-
