No. With the price of gas, I can't afford it. I use self-serve. I used to live by Huntington and you have NO choice so I would not tip. On the other hand, if I used a "voluntary" full serve when they also have a self-serve then I would tip.
ETA: it's usually more expensive to use the full-serve gas if they also have self serve gas at the same station. So then I don't tip. It's already higher.

I don't think it's necessary, but I do think it's nice to do.
Like I said earlier, I always go to the same place, same guy and always tip him. DH gets mad at me But when I go, he comes to me right away, he always washes my windshield and back window and side windows, if they're filthy. So, I definately think it pays off for me When DH goes, he doesn't tip but he never gets his windows washed
ETS: Also, I think it's something that's not done very often. He's not the owner and how much money could he really make? Sure my 1 or 2 dollars a week isn't going to buy him a new house, but i think it's a nice gesture.
