We used Selsun Blue (same idea)
It took a while to work, maybe a few weeks?
And it came back when we stopped using it...DS still has some at almost 3

We always used Baby Oil and then use a fine comb and it comes right off. I've never heard of using Head and Shoulders? I wouldn't think that was safe for a baby? Doesn't it have chemicals in it?

Our ped had us use Selsun Blue and I am starting to use it again b/c it works.
And we used baby oil and a fine tooth comb and it took my DS' hair out

when DS had cradle cap, my Dr. also recommended selsun blue or dove soap, we choose to use dove soap on his hair and it has worked great. Dont know if you tried that yet? It's so gentle and mild.

DS is 4 months and I've been using baby oil a half hour before his bath and scrubbing his head with a brush. you literally see the cradle cap coming right off. then i wash off the baby oil. its gotten so much better.

My pediatrician told me to use H&S twice a week and it has been two weeks now and it is getting much better. The other days we just use J&J no tears and everynight we rub babyoil into his scalp.
