Why Do I Focus on the Bad Cradle Cap?
We went to see DSs doctor yesterday for a 3 month checkup and vaccines. All is well with him, and his doctor is very happy with his development--he is hitting his milestones and growing well. His weight is on the light side for his length, but she said he is healthy and definitely not too thin.
So given all of this, why do I focus on his bad case of cradle cap? We've been doing oil rubs, brushing out the flakes, followed by dandruff shampoo treatment. The scales are fewer, but the brown patches are much more pronounced, and he needs to use a prescription cream now. Everything I have read about this says it is basically harmless and passes, though it's unsightly and itchy for the baby.
Guess I just feel as if I'm focusing on this too much and not appreciating the fact that he is healthy in other respects. Does anyone else do this?

Sometimes. I have tried some things too, which don't really work and since I have a face/head scratcher, he seems to be scratching most of it off himself
The doctor didnt' seem too concerned about it - gave me soem tips, but it is slowly going away, so I try not to worry too much. It's when other people question me about it that I feel like maybe I should be doing more, but that lasts about 2 minutes...

I guess I am a worrier by nature, so this is his only issue at this point. You are right though, I should just follow the treatment suggested and let it go. It's not a harmful condition.
