I was induced, and then in labor for 28 hours. The doctor came in, and said if I didn't have any progress within the next half hour I was going in for a C-section. Within in the next 10 minutes DS was born.

Induced at 41 weeks (with DD#1). Checked in and in my hospital bed by 7:30pm...baby was born 7 hours later. I was progressing slowly on my own prior to arriving at the hospital (didn't know or feel it), so I didn't need Cervadil...just Pitocin.

Did you not have an epi? I thought I remember that. How the heck did you do Pitocin without an epi? You are Wonder Woman!

Induced at 39 weeks--it was 5 hours start to finish.
My first DC was born lightning fast (naturally) so we knew the induction probably wouldn't take very long either. And it didn't.

I was 3cm and 100% effaced when I went in. They started pitocin at 10am and I started pushing at 8pm. I pushed for 3 hours before DS was born and 5 more minutes for DD.

Almost exactly 12 hours. They inserted cytotec at 8:30 pm and DD was born 7:54 am. I pushed for 10 mins. (I was almost 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced before induction)

i was admitted sunday night at 7pm. cervadil put in at 9pm. started feeling contractions at 3am. 9am cervadil came out, gave me pitocin at 10am. starting at level 2. they went up to level 6 or 8 i think before they turned it off because i was laboring on my own. DD was born at 3:22 :)

Re: If you were induced, how long was your labor?

Barely 2 hrs with just a little bit of pitocin. But, I was also 3cm and almost completely effaced for weeks, was 41wks plus and had no epidural!

Re: If you were induced, how long was your labor?

With DS my water broke at 2am(10 days before my due date) got to the hospital around 4am iwas 2cm, but no labor. Dr started pitocin at noon and he was born at 2am

With DD I was 1cm dilated for about a week, at my 39 wk appt I was 2cm and the dr said I could be induced if I wanted. I chose to schedule it for the day after my due date. Got to the hospital at 7, started pitocin about 830am, at 2 I was 4cm and at 252 DD was born.

Two very different experiences.

Re: If you were induced, how long was your labor?

37 weeks. Induced for pre-e. No dialation.

It was 54 hours from check in until delivery.

To be fair. Read my birth story. It was veeerry different. But, I was only in hard labor for 7 hours and I didn't have a c.

Re: If you were induced, how long was your labor?

Almost 24 hours.

My ob kind of went easy on the pitocin, and let me labor slowly. I was trying to avoid an epi.

At about 12 hours in, she upped my dose, and broke my water.
