Officially there are 17 kids in the class but one child has been absent for an extended period of time (months). There is only one teacher and no aids in the classroom.

Re: If your child goes to a private elementary school (not daycare kindergarten)
There were 14 kids in my DS's K class - one teacher and one aide. LOVED it! They are in 3rd grade now and have 22 kids.
My DD's K class had 22 kids. Again, one teacher and one aide. They held the same amount of students going into 1st grade.
In their school, if a grade has more than 25 students, it is split into 2 classes. So there is either a big class at like 22-24 kids, or a smaller class around 13 or 14.
(My son's K class that had only 14 kids was because there were only that many enrolled, not a split class!)....

Ugh, too many. 32. However, they are split into 3 sections for reading. 2 sections for spelling, grammar, math. they are a whole class for specials, science, social studies and religion.

DS school is the same way. Last year there was only one K with about 23 kids, this year there is 2 with 16 each.

My 2nd grader has 10 in his class, Kindergartener has 18 with a full time aide. Last year though there were 26 first graders in the same classroom but 2 certified teachers who taught in small groups.
