If your infant had an early bedtime...

... did it continue into toddlerhood?

James is down for the night between 6:45 and 7 pm. He'll sleep until 6:45 the next morning when we have to wake him to go to the sitter (during the week) and until 7:30 or so on the weekends. On the weekends, I'll give him his morning bottle, bring him into bed and he'll sleep another 2 hours or so. Chat Icon

I would LOVE to have this sleeping trend continue. So - if your infant went to bed this early, did it stay like this for a while? If it got later, about when did it happen?

DD has gone to bed by 7:30p since she was a few weeks old, she just turned 3 and this is still her bedtime, except for the few occasions we let her stay up a little later or if we are out.

Re: If your infant had an early bedtime...

Jack was in bed by 6:30 until he was about 18 months old.

Then it moved to 7.

Now it's pretty much 7:30-8:00 depending on what time he gets up from his nap.

I LOVED the 6:30 bedtime, it felt like I still had an entire night ahead of me.

Tyler now goes to bed at 6:30 so it's nice bc we have some alone time with just Jack at the end of the day.

DD always went to bed at 7:30 (w/ a brief 8:30 stint as a tiny infant) & now at almost 3 still goes to bed at 7:45 & wakes up at 7.

DS is 11 months & used to go to bed at 6:30...just recently we cut his late nap & now he gets his last bottle at 7 & is asleep by 7:30. He wakes up around 7 am too.

DS used to sleep from about 7pm-7am from 5 months until about 18 months. Then summer came and it was closer to 7:30 for the next year. Then it bumped again. He now goes to bed between 8:30-9:00, but he also still takkes a napp from about 3pm-5pm.

DD is 15 months and is asleep by 630/645 most nights. We wake her up during the week at around 615 and on the weekends she usually gets up between 7-8.

It stayed that way until about 16 months. Then his bedtime became around 7:30pm.

Now at 22 months, he goes to bed at 8pm.

DS went to bed at 7 til about 1, then it went to 7:30 til about 2. The summer after he turned 2 his bedtime creeped up and up.....since then he goes to bed 8:30ish.

Since the twins were born he stays up later, usually til 9ish. They go to bed 7-7:30 then he has some time with just me before bed.
