It's a mystery to me how people know to find me on this website. BUT, my MIL had her best friend's daughter stalk me and print out old information to bring up and argue with me. A "friend" of my SIL's said she recognized my picture or my dh's pics and started reading my posts like a friggen moron. Then she reported back to her with all my posts. I mean seriously...do people not have a life? I just love it when people think that by writing about something that happened, other people on this website are going to know who they're talking about.
Oh my goodness. Someone went through all that trouble to rat you out?! Someone needs a life

I had my own stalker...My baby's picture was hanging in one of my STBX's client's shops. A "customer" came in who didn't like me from back in LIW's drama days decided to SLAM me to my husband's client. Like it was any of their business or concern? For the idiot that talked smack about me and my baby to the receptionist at Master's in East Meadow - I hope you rot you miserable POS
Deb, those individuals are not even worth your time. They'll get theirs in the end

Because it's a public forum.
What's even more fun -- if you go to your temporary internet files and look at the jpgs and gifs that it stores you'll see people's avatars and any pics you view when you are here.
I had tons and tons of pictures from LIF when I was going through those files yesterday.

They don't need to know you're on LIW/LIF per se. If you google your handle(s), it will show all public messageboards you belong to and post on, along with a lot of the actual posts.
OMG...I never thought of that! I just looked up my old one, and this one.

I belong to a "private" (aka subscription based) messageboard geared towards family (TOC, TTC, Pregnancy, Parenthood, etc.) and a bunch of sickos joined to "steal" photos of the members' babies in diapers for their fetish website. 
The site finally offers private journals (invitation only) so "joe-schmoe" can't just lurk and swipe your photos.

I saw all of mine yesterday - it was weird. There were other peoples pictures and avatars in my search too. Oh well - there is no way we could get rid of that right?
