I'm in the hospital...anyone have gallstones while pregnant??

I thought I had a stomach virus, but it turns out I have gallstones.

I'm waiting now for the surgeon to come speak to me about options, but I'm scared to have surgery while preggo..I'm only 11 wks.

Anyone have this while pregnant? What did you do??

I miss Ethan :( He's home with grandma..I hope I can go home tonight.

Not quite the same but....my best friend had kidney stones while pregnant. She just had a healthy baby boy. She had to have a stent put in and ended up having a c-section. After she recovered from the c-section they blasted the stones with a laser. Once she had the stent put in she was fine and was just told to take it a little easier with the rest of the pregnancy.

YES YES and YES!
I had many many attacks while I was pregnant!
Even though I had so many attacks, they always chose NOT to have my gall bladder out while I was pregnant. And in the end, I was glad for it!
You can talk to me about it! I have been there and I KNOW how you are feeling!!
Have they done sonos?

ugh yes! i couldn't eat anything! i literally survived on yogurt and soup for months. i ganed 15 lbs total. was hospitalized and had so many awful attacks. i never had surgery bc i was too far along and it was too risky. well my ds is 11 months old now and i eat everything and haven't had ANY problems at all since i was pg.

feel better and ask for a couple of opinions before doing anything!

Soory about the laughing,but my whole pregnancy was this. It was a HORRIBLE preg withnon-stop vomitiing and refered back pain instead of abd pain. They can't do the surgery until the 2nd trim, and my surgeon suggested around 20-24weeks was best. I refused to consider it when it was 1st mentioned, but they actual confirmation didn't happen until 33wks since I knew I didn't feel comfortable with the sugery. It was not the baby I was worried about but me. I do not do well being put under and the stress of the pg was to much for me to risk. I can tell as someone who went through it for 9months it s*cks, but is do able, however, I DO NOT rec. it. If you do ok with surgery then have it and go on to have a healthy pg. Just FYI Michelle Duggar gave birth at 25wks due to complications from gallstones that caused hypertension and was heading into preeclampsia.

I could always tell when my pancreas levels were way of because my urine was super dark. Has this happened to you?

Are they doing the ERCO procedure? Basically its a procedure they do going down your throat in order to reach that stone in your bile duct.
