Re: I'm looking for Ob/Gyn's in Stony Brook, St. Charles or Mather
Three Village Women's Health is where I go and they have been fantatic. Dr. Schoenfield has gone above and beyond for me already. I highly recommend that practice.

Dr. Arato/Blaszczyk's group, since they sound so nice and location wise they are the closest to me.
Thanks again!!
They were total strangers to me but both made me feel so at ease. I had never seen Dr Blazcak before but he walked into my room, explained my situation and both me and DH were very comfortable with him to do my emergency c-section. He called me the next day to see how I was and he even called the NICU to check on Hayley. Dr Arato came and checked me out 2 times while I was there. My OB at the time never even came to check me.
I think you will like them!
You will be very happy with them...not only are they good Dr's but they have the best bedside manners I have ever seen. When I had a mc Dr Arato called me 3 times that week to see how I was doing. They are just good people

I love my OB/Gyn--Dr. Dreux Patton--he is in Port Jefferson right near St. Charles.
Dr. Arato saw me at St. Charles when I checked out and he was very nice.
I second Patton and his partner Dr. Goldberg!!!!!

i second three village....when i graduated from my fertility clinic, i asked for a recommendation and was told that this group is where all the doctors and doctor's wives go.
That's so funny you say that because I always see MDs there with their pregnant wives...last week one guy was still in his hospital scrubs waiting for a sonogram with his pregnant wife. So cute.

I actually left Three Village while 10 weeks pregnant.
I was really disappointed with their service (or shall I say lack of) and after switching to my new OB, it was only reaffirmed that their service was mediocre.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with them. Were they your GYNs before? Were you dealing with a specific MD/ Nurse practitioner?

I had been seeing Kaelber & Dillinger for a few years prior. I always had issues with the wait in the waiting room (avg was 45 minutes, but I had found it had only gotten worse) and the office staff was never quick to return calls.
When I became pregnant I saw a few different OBs, all of whom I felt were too busy to really offer their patients any time (my DH was with me and witnessed this as well.)
I also hated the fact that they sent you to a lab for bloodwork, sent you out for the Ultrascreen (and were of no help when it came to trying to get an appoinment w/a place that practically has no openings...whole different issue that ****** me off w/3 Village.)
My current OB office does everything in-house, my wait is no longer that 10 minutes, the doctors take you into their office to speak with you, then to the exam room, they return calls immediately, I never have to wait days for results...I've just personally found this OB to be 200x's better.
Schoenfeld was recommended to my sister by her exbf (who's a med student and had worked with him). She liked Schoenfeld, but hasn't been impressed with the office itself for the same reasons I mentioned.
****to the original poster...sorry for hijcking your thread! ****
