I'm losing my mind in the final weeks of pregnancy

On friday I thought my water broke - turned out I had peed a little on myself - (not the first time this has happened!) so what did I do? I shrugged and walked out of the bathroom and went to work. . . making a note to myself to only wear black pants from now on.

Yesterday evening I started getting contractions every 8 minutes for over an hour - just as I started to think 'ok, maybe this is it - they went away - nothing, nada.'


Then this morning at 4am I wake up with a rough contraction - I go into the livingroom and am sitting on the couch with my cats timing the contractions - for 45 minutes they are 4 minutes apart. My doc said to go to the hospital if they are 4 min apart for 2 hours - so I'm just about to go wake up DH and tell him to get in the shower - and of course, the contractions stop.

I think I'm losing my mind, what with the constant checking the clock every time I have a contraction - my obsessive search for the elusive mucus plug, and my recent incontinence problem.

I just need to have this baby!!!!!!!!

Due May 10th and I'm going through the same EXACT thing!! Aren't the contractions such a tease!?! I feel selfish, but I'm getting impatient!!
