I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this... 2 under 2 question
My DH was arguing with me to add things to our former baby registry that are for Baby #2. I told him that people don't buy you gifts (won't check our old registry) and it's tacky to have a shower for #2 when #1 is only going to be 15 months old when #2 is born. He wants to put things on there like a double stroller, a video baby monitor, a second diaper genie, etc.
Who is right here... DH or I?

I think you are right. We are not going to register for number two. I know my immediate family will get us things, but honestly I don't expect anything from anyone. I would plan on getting the double stroller yourselves.

He's right that you are going to need those things. I'm not sure about registering but I would start a new one just in case. Plus, you can use it to keep track of the things YOU need to get for the new baby and BRU sends you a 10% coupon too.
As far as people buying off them. I know I would look because I would want to get you something you needed, shower, sprinkle or not.

Personally my line of thinking on this is with you. I don't think a shower for a second baby is appropriate- especially if the baby is born so soon after #1. To me, showers are for first time moms who *need* items to prepare for their first baby.
With our second, I *did* create a registry- but NOT for people to buy from. I wanted the 10% coupon that BRU offers for registry items. I didn't even tell people that registry existed.
We didn't buy our double stroller until after DD#2 got here because I wanted to really *test drive* them with both kids.

Thank you all - I totally forgot about the registry coupon!! It may be good to "re-register" on every site we did last time BRU, BBB and even similac, pampers, etc. We could use registries just for that money saving aspect and in case there are some that feel they want to get us something but want to know what we could use we can refer them to the BRU registry. I also agree it's a good way for me to keep track. Thanks again!!

I'm a fan of celebrating each child, so I think a registry for #2 is a good thing....
Personally, I find it tacky NOT to have a shower and registry for #2+.... Then again, I'm just a guy who thinks practically, like your DH ...
