I'm sick of people telling me... "but you're so young!"

Besides all of the above (especially about being young - too bad my eggs aren't young!)...I am sick of people telling me their friend's cousin's hairdresser's mother's infertility success story!

It's not that I am not happy for them, it's just that a random's stranger's success story does not really do much for me!

ETA: DH's favorite is "Have you considered adoption"? He always says "No, the thought has never crossed our mind!"

Today the NP who did my IUI asked if DH and I just got married.

I'm 41..no married 11 years thank you..just took our time.

Thanks for reminding me that I shouldn't have waited.

i am sorry to crash but i can't believe what people ate saying to you girls! how can people be so idiotic! I am at most of the stuff i am reading!

my favorites are, besides all of the above:

"if you just eat healthier, exercise more, and get more organized- things will just fall into place and you'll get pregnant. After all God helps those who help themselves".

Then there's
"well, at least you'll always be the best aunt in the world- you could just stay the world's best aunt forever because once you have kids you won't have time for your niece and nephews".

oh there are so many more.... but those are the 2 that are like a knife in the heart to me.

My favorite, when I lost the twin after IVF- "you must be so relieved"

People are so useless. And I also got the "but you are so young" comment all the time. Unfortunately youth can not fix broken sperm

Along with most of the others that people have already posted... I have also gotten people rubbing my belly and while rubbing my belly telling me "your time will come!"

All the above, especially "You're so young" and hearing a friend of a friend of a friend's IF success story. Lately I keep hearing "Have you tried accupuncture" - yes, I have tried everything under the sun. I know people want to help, but still sometimes you just want them to be quiet.

why don't you just adopt- THEN you'll get pregnant.

So and So started the adoption process and the week they adopted their (insert boy/girl here) they found out they were pregnant and now have 2 kids that are w/in x months of eachother...
