i'm so proud of myself... hosting a party with what i had

man, i worked and re-worked the NYE menu this way and that... just to end up using what i already had in the house and making up things as i went along lol

but it seemed that everyone was happy and, most importantly, FULL by the end of the night.

the chicken pot pie stew i learned about here... well, i didn't realize that i didn't have cream of chicken soup to make it... so i made it from scratch (with what i already had) and it was sooooo yummy. people were having seconds and thirds!

some of the appetizers were made from bits and pieces of things... they were all GONE by the time the next batch came out of the oven

finally, SO forgot all about dessert... so i used: LIF, google, supercook, and allrecipes... i made about four different desserts and no one knew they weren't even on the menu.

it was a lot of work, but i did it lol i survived hosting my first NYE party

i rock!
lol
