call Primo, anyone else try it yet? Primo is the first nationally available bottled water whose bottle is made from plants, not crude oil! Primo offers you the convenience and great taste you're looking for in a bottle that's friendly to the environment. And these bottles are compostable.

Comes in your standard bottle size. 3 and 5 gallons.

ecologically sound bottled water is an oxymoron IMO

the amount of fuel it takes to make those bottles and deliver the water is completely unreasonable...

I'll stick to my brita water Chat Icon

Yes, these bottles are made from Plant Oil while the others are made from Crude Oil. And CR gave my Brita bad marks.

I'm suprised brita got bad marks, but frankly, it didn't occur to me to log-in and checkout consumer reports on my water filter.... good to know.

I would still then invest in one of their recommended water filters rather than using bottled water... becuase of the hassle of carrying and storing the water, and also becuase of the ecological impact of shipping water bottles. Keep in mind, even if the bottle isn't made from petroleum byproducts, a lot of energy is still required to make the bottle.

I'm just giving it a try for now..

I have a portable Reverse Osmosis with Deionization coming soon. I ordered it over the weekend online.
