I'mk confused, another CBEFM question
here's the deal: the past 3 days, i have had a high reading. this am my monitor read low again! so does this mean that it will stop asking me for sticks??? does this happen to anyone before they get a peak? I know the estrogen drops right before LH rises, so is this why it was low today? HELP!!!

Re: I'mk confused, another CBEFM question
I've been using the CBEFM since August and that's never happened to me. I usually get a few days of high (3-4 days) and then two days of peak and then back to high.
I know I've read in their pamphlet that if you miss a day or two that could mess with your results. Here's what it says:
"There may be a small percentage of cycles in which you do not see Peak Fertility Status. There are a number of possible reasons for this, for example, a test may have been missed or performed incorrectly or you may not have ovulated this cycle. An unusually short or long cycle may result in Peak Fertility not being detected. If Peak Fertility is not detected, the Monitor may show High Fertility for an extended period of time. This may be as long as 19 days. If this occurs, it is unlikely that you will be fertile during this entire time. If you do not see Peak Fertility over a number of cycles, speak to your doctor."

Re: I'mk confused, another CBEFM question
Well, I can tell you from my experience is that once the CBEFM goes from high to low it will probably stop asking for sticks within the next day. Your readings really should remain high before hitting the peak. If it's dropping to low it might be because it's not detecting that ovulation is imminent. If it does stop asking for the test sticks and you think you still might "O" just use regular OPK's for a few days. During my cycles I usually have about 14 days of low readings, 6 days of high readings, 2 peak days, and then it drops off to 1 high reading, 1 low reading, and then I am done testing. Good luck!
