Immune Testing

I've read a lot on this forum about immune testing for women who experience multiple losses or failed cycles. It seems Dr. Braverman and Dr. Tortoriiello at SIRM-NYC are the 2 specialists that do this bloodwork.

So far I've only had 1 IUI that resulted in a BFN. I am getting ready for IUI #2 with Dr. Zapantis. I have not experienced any losses or failed IVF cycles. However, I would like to rule out any potential immune issues since I have Hashimoto's Thyroidism (an autoimmune issue) as well as PCOS. My thinking is that if I am going to pay OOP for IVF then I want to make sure that there are no additional obstacles in my path that could be avoided.

What kind of doctor would I need to see? Will a doctor discuss immune issues with me without me experiencing losses or failed cycles? What kind of testing should I be requesting?

I would absolutely look into it to if i were you with the underlying conditions you already have. I am a patient at SIRM and couldn't be happier. There is a 2-4 month wait for an appointment so i would call ASAP!
