Re: Indoor Pools or retractable pool enclosures
I would like to know about the retractable poor covers as well. Saw this on tv, and thought it was a great idea for safety. We don't have an IGP yet but plan to in the future (outdoor IGP though, not indoor).

Re: Indoor Pools or retractable pool enclosures
i wish i had an indoor pool That is for the very very wealthy!!!
We are in the process of an inground outdoor pool, we got a looploc cover, they are very expensive but excellent warranty
The retractable outdoor pool covers are big bucks, we looked into it, but couldnt justify spending 15k plus on one.

Re: Indoor Pools or retractable pool enclosures
My sister has the retractable on their in-ground, but it's not motorized. They reasearch every purchase, and I know they looked at the loop-lock but that is a mesh material, which lets in particles of dirt and leaves. The retractable they have is a solid material and their pool is always spotless. It does take two people to pull the cover across but they do it every evening and my 8 year old niece is able to pull one side while my sister does the other.
Just one word of advice, the cover slides across on tracks either side of the pool. They had a brick patio all around their pool and the bricks were not secure enough, so they had them removed a few feet back and had the nice colored, stamped concrete installed and then the track went in there.
I believe their cover was approx. $5/6K.

We were told this was an excellent cover, and also an upgrade as well. It folds up, i dont think its something you put over your pool every night, but most likely when you go away, or when you close the pool up.
That sounds about right for the manual retractable, we dont have a huge yard, and couldnt fit something like that. and 6k is alot of money. The automatic ones are about 15k plus.
Here is the link to Looploc
