infant and rice cereal

I was just wondering if anyone put cereal into there infants bottles??

My son is 10 weeks old and weighs 16.0 pounds and is always hungry.... it's noe about every 2 1/2 hrs. maybe 3 that he eats.. And at night he's always up wanting to eat!!!!

I just had his 2 month check-up last week, but he was screaming bloody murder so i didnt get to ask any of my questiones..

Do you think I should call the pedi and ask if I could add alittle something to his bottle at night, to fill him so he sleeps alittle longer... I go back to work in a week and a 1/2, and this no sleep is going to kill me...

i have been doing it since he is like 8 weeks for his reflux but i f you feel more comfortable call and ask.

I did the same... She had been having RC in her bottles for reflux since she was 2 weeks old.

I would call and ask... the ped isn't going to steer you wrong!

At that age babies are supposed to eat evey 2 1/2- 3 hours. It is normal.

I actually just wound up doing it myself and never asked the ped if it was ok. My mom did it for me when I was 6weeks so I did it for DD starting at 3 months. She still eats every 3 hrs, but gets her last bottle at 9p and goes to sleep till 6am for another bottle and goes back to sleep again till 8am.

I gave her Gerber Rice Cereal w/ DHA.
She gets 4oz of formula at each feeding, even when I give her the rice cereal too.
