Infant vs. toddler clothes?
What is the difference between 24 months and 2T? I want to buy Marron some clothes for next year but don't know what size to get. She is 20 months old and is wearing 18 month clothes. She'll be 2 in April and I was thinking of getting her 2T clothes for next fall. Any opinions or info?

I was told by a Children's Place employee that they are the same thing.

Re: Infant vs. toddler clothes?
It's pretty much the same size. I would probably get a 3T for the fall.

24 months is usually made like infant cloths with snaps for easy diaper changes. 2T is the same size but designed for potty trained kids.

This is what I heard. I also heard Toddler clothes are cut narrower because they expect that you won't have a diaper and a walking toddler will be slimmer in the hip area than an infant.

Re: Infant vs. toddler clothes?
Rj is almost 28 months
weighs 26 lbs and to be honest I have no idea how tall he is- he is on the smaller side of avg though...
24 months fits him wonderfully
2t are usually to long are to big around the waist...(however the shirts fit fine- for the most part)
If you are buying clothing with adjustable waists then you should be find (as long as you dont mind cuffing the bottoms of the pants if they are too long..

Re: Infant vs. toddler clothes?
My DD is in 24 months/2T clothes now (she's 20 months). I find that 2T is longer, in both pants legs and arm sleeves.

Exactly! Not only are the legs longer on most 2T but they are designed differently. I once bought my DD some skirts where they had bothe 24m and 2T. The 24m skirt has a panty type diaper cover underneath with crotch snaps. The 2T had a shorts type underwear cover underneath with no snaps.

As far as the size, I think it's very hard to say what size she might be next Fall when she will be 2 this Spring. I think you'd be OK with 2T in the bottoms but I'd consider 3T for the tops, depending on the brand.

My DD is 22 months and in 24 months/2T. I find that the 2T's are running slightly longer and narrower.
