Insurance coverage for Similac Sensitive w/ Blue Cross
If your child uses this formula and you have BCBS, call them, it might be covered. It is covered under one of my relative's plan with a co-pay each month, which works out to be half the price per can. She just needed an RX from the ped. for it.
and just for clarification, I am in fact talking about Similac Sensitive, not any of the specialty formulas like nutramigen, etc.

I have empire as well and DD was on Alimentum (sp?) and it was covered as long as there was an RX from her ped.

Right..Similac Sensitive is not usually considered a specialty formula that insurance normally covers though, which is why I posted :)

That's interesting to know - I should look into that since that is what DS is on. I had just heard it was from Nutramigen and Alimentum from our insurance carrier.
