I went for my 32 week growth sono. Baby A is measuring very, very low and really hasn't grown over the last 2 weeks. It's stomach seems small and they were concerned about the heartbeat.
They told me to call DH and have him come to the hospital just in case they did an emergency c-section today. Needless to say, I started sobbing----to the point that Dh couldn't understand me on the phone and the dr had to talk to him. The nurses even asked how I felt about becoming a mom possibly today. Holy freaking scary!
They monitored the babies for awhile and wound up sending me home. I have to go back on Monday.
I was going to go to work but DH grounded me and made me come home.
I may be joking around, but am so scared. Please that everything is okay w/ both babies. I really want them to cook a little while longer.
UPDATE: I spoke w/ my OB who is usually super laid back. She said I am likely to have the babies in the next 2 weeks. They are going to put me on steroids to slow things down. I have to go to work tomorrow to tell my boss. Freaking out in a million ways.
You have to remember to stay positive. If the babies have to come out then they will be all the healthier when they are out and being fed to make sure BOTH are thriving. Try and take it easy this weekend. Go get a mani/pedi and pack a bag to be safe. But one way or another I am sure they will both be okay Many and keep us updated.
OMG Jenn, I'm praying so hard your baby catches up! So scary but even if you did have to deliver early your babies will be in very good hands. Rest up and eat a ton!
