Congratulations! To answer your questions, the PIO shots depend on your progesterone levels. I'm surprised they didn't have you use a suppository instead. Those hurt a lot less than the PIO.
I was released to my OB after they saw a heartbeat on a sono at 7 weeks. My first OB appointment was at 8 weeks. Hope that helps!

I think it depends on your RE. Mine had me on it until I was 12 weeks - he wasn't even checking my progesterone levels - guess it was just standard protocol for him.

I graduated to my OB when I was 10 weeks along. Congrats and good luck!
