Invites and RSVP date ? for 1st bday party

Invites and RSVP date ? for 1st bday party
How far in advance should I send out the invites for DS's first birthday party, is 3 weeks ok or should I try to get them out @ 4 weeks? If the party is 3/26 when should I make the RSVP date? I was thinking two weeks before the party. TIA!

I usually send them at least 4 weeks before the party and put an RSVP date down for 2 weeks before the party.

Good to know. I just put the date in my calendar. LOL
ETA, Ian's party was October 16th. I sent the invites September 1st and made the rsvp date the 25th. but i was nuts. i think i sent it too early. i was excited. i think sending it one month prior and a 2 week rsvp date is fine.

Our party is the same day and I sent mine out on Monday because I like to leave myself time to chase down non-RSVPers.  Our RSVP date is 3/5 or 3/10, I forget... I have to book a caterer once I have my #s so I really needed to leave myself enough time.
