WWYD: Frustrated w/picking a 1st bday party date...
This has gotten a little much. I had planned Lauren's 1st bday party for August 1st but DH's ENTIRE side of the family is camping 3 hours away until the 2nd. (Her bday is the 3rd) so i picked the 8th then i get a notice in the mail that DH's grandmother had planned a family reunion for that day!  I can't do it the 13th because none of my family would be able to go (all 6 family members).
WWYD? I was thinking of doing it July 25th but it's really not her birthday, she won't be one yet but i really didn't want to wait until the end of August....

I would do it in July. If that was also a no-go I would celebrate with my family one day and celebrate with DH's family at the reunion. There's only so many weekends and it's hard to get everyone together sometimes.

Well if you really want everyone to be there, I'd do July. The 25th isn't too far from her real birthday.

DD's birthday is July 1 and my parents will be away the weekend after that and my sister will be away the weekend before. So we are ending up doing her party almost 2 weeks later. At first, I was a little bummed, but now I am like whatever, all I care about is celebrating my little girl's big day..it doesn't matter anymore to me when it is. Pick the day you want and have fun!

We wanted to have DD's 1st Birthday party on a Saturday. We ended up finding out that a close friend of my husband's wedding was the Saturday after her birthday, so we are having it the Saturday before she turns one . . . Not ideal but we didn't want to put it off into August . . .
