I was on LA Weight Loss a few years ago and had good results - lost about 35 lbs. It is really expensive IMO (especially since I was a student when I joined). I found that some of the "rules" about only eating certain types of meat/fish a few days a week were somewhat restrictive. I liked the LA Lites - their soy protein bars that you have twice a day - but got sick of them after awhile. I wouldn't recommend buying their "bulk" package of LA Lites, which is $$$ just in case you tire of them. I'd also avoid their nutritional supplements, which are expensive and don't really work.

My only real complaint is that once you lose a certain amount of weight, they give you new food restrictions. Once I moved from the purple food card to the gold, I was only allowed to have 3 oz of chicken as a protein serving (instead of 8 oz). You're only allowed 2 proteins a day, so this was a huge cut. I felt like they were drastically reducing the amount of food I could take in and I wasn't eating a lot to start with. I found that I couldn't really stick to the diet after they changed my food plans.

I did LA Weight Loss at 16 and I lost about 40lbs. I was very happy with the results but once I hit my goal I gained it all back and then some. IMO it was very restrictive and it didn't really teach me how to eat. Honestly, I was miserable during the weight loss. It was also expensive. But yes, it works.
