Well, being that we are about 4 months into our new 30 year mortgage, doesn't look like I will be able to!!!!
I would love to, but we need the second income. Back to work for me after 3 months!

yes i am a sahm and i am truely blessed to have that opportunity. i love it and am amazed at how much my ds changes every day we are hoping to have another baby real soon so it works for us that i can be home. i think once we are done having children i will go to work maybe part time.

only for 7 months, then it's back to work. I am already upset about the thought of leaving my baby with someone else all day long.

I am planning to be a SAHM. At some point I think I might have to get something part time though. I think that everyone needs a little something for themselves. But, I consider myself really fortunate to have the opportunity. It seems like most people don't have a choice these days which is sad.

At first DH and I decided that I would be home with DD for a year but since we are moving out of NY next year I will be home permanently with DD.

When my first DD was born I went back to work after 12 weeks. I had no choice. Iu did it for almost 8 years. Now with DD #2 I am able to stay home. I think I thank my DH every night for making it possible for me to do this. Money will be tight that's for sure. But we'll do it. We have to do it. There are no words to express how happy I am to be home when my daughter gets off the school bus and to not to homework with her at 6:00 at night. And I can be a class Mom and go to class parties or what not. For Kindergarten and 1st grade I wasn't there and it killed me.
Of course I am thrilled to be home with my 3 month old. I guess b/c I had to work and be away from my 7 year old, I am extremely happy to finally he around for her!!!

i'm currently a sahm with my son and will obviously also be with the next little peanut on his/her way! i know we're a rare breed these days...especially living on li- cost of living is just WAY TOO MUCH! i'm very thankful that i'm home....i do have to tell you though, it can get lonely from time to time. as much as i love being home with my little guy, and he keeps me laughing day in and day out...its tough when you don't have much interaction with adults....none of my friends are able to stay home. totally not complaining though, just giving you both sides of the story! good luck to you on your decision! any questions- feel free to FM!

Most likely I will stay at home with the baby for a year. I don't think I'm going to miss work, or not very much anyway. This is if the sale of our co-op actually goes through--if it doesn't, it might be difficult.
I am thankful to have this opportunity. I know it's hard for many people.

i was a sahm with the first and plan to for all my children. when the youngest goes to elementary school i will go back to work locally. probably part time. by that time i might not want to go back to work. we will see. i am never bored with olivia we go to playgroups 4 days a week and keep busy with the park, walks, crafts and playdates.
