I'm really shy with that. People have to request me, I very rarely will send a request, even with my own family!!!
same here.
Plus I don't really know who is who on LIF/FB so ....
(I do have few girls on my FB from here and I do know their SN )

From LIF- yes. I feel like people don't know who I am anyway, so if I friend request them, they really won't know who I am!

If I'm not sure on a person I won't request they be my friend.. I would want (if I really don't know) that the person just message me and let me know how they know me.

I am not FB friends with anyone on LIF, this damn infertility thing makes me stay anonymous
But I am shy with FB requests, I have never requested anyone, other than family. I don't know what it is, I just don't want to seem presumptuous?

i don't know if its shyness, or just laziness, or something else, but i never really send requests on FB.
Same here, and if i get any i tend to hold off a day or so until i can figure out who it is. Then most times, i delete them a few days later, because i get the just trying to be nosey vibe.

me too.. i hate rejection..
and there is 1 LIF girl in particular that i really wanted to request but am afraid of that.. i don't think she likes me at all.

I request "real life" people without much of a problem. As far as LIF people, I usually let them request me. I don't think most people would know who I am unless you met met at GTGs years ago.

I am only friends w/people I know IRL, with the exception of cple LIW people, who for the most part I now know IRL.
Same here.
I only friend people on FB who I know and have contact with IRL.
I don't accept former students, I don't accept co-workers, I don't accept people from elem. or high school whom I don't remember, heck, I didn't accept my cousin's wife (she's very chatty) until she called me out on it at a family gathering.
My only FB friends who are from LIF are women I see on a regular basis and/or who have been in my home.
No offense to anyone but I post a lot on FB and would rather keep a shorter list of friends for privacy reasons and to avoid potential drama.

I don't normally request friends. I used to accept anyone and everyone who "friended" me, but lately I've become a little more discriminating, only to accept the people that I really know...

I am not a fan of being someones 'friend' on fb if I haven't met them IRL. I do have a few from LIF that I haven't met, but not too many. And most are those that I have some sort of a connection on.
