Is it normal for a 10 1/2 month old to always
be on his tipy toes? He NEVER puts his foot flat when standing. DD never did this, that's the only reason I find it odd. Just wondering if it's common.

DS is 7 months old and when he jumps in his jumperoo he is always on his tip toes. In fact, he has a blister on the TOP of his big toe from jumping on it

My DD did this and still sometimes walks on her tippy toes. The doctor watched her walk and didn't comment so I am not worried. Is he walking? I would just make sure that when he does walk, he is on flat foot at least some of the time. If it means anything, DD has some nice calf muscles

I think standing on tippy toes is fairly common

I dont think you have to worry about it until he is walking but I would bing it up with his pied.

Very common.... Both DC did it for a while. I've seen and heard of other DC doing it as well.

It's very common. Mosts peds only worry if they cannot put their foot flat or it interferes with development. They normally grow out of it.

My neice is 4 and she still has to constantly be reminded to "walk on her feet". Hers was an extremem case though. She had to wear braces for a while to get her to walk flat on her feet...they didnt really work though.
