Is it normal for a one year old (13 months)...
..to suddenly be aware and afraid of noises? DD is suddenly very aware of noises like airplanes, sirens, the garbage truck—and she seems really frightened by them. She'll run over to me and want to be held and whine a little. She never used to do this. She never really seemed to notice before.

Yes my dd even started to fear cookie monster on tv. She would coming running to us and cry. She hates the blow dryer sound still and she is 18 months old now.

Thanks all. It's so weird how it started out of no where, but I guess it's just a new toddler phase.
