Is it weird
For a mom to buy her adult son underwear? I am talking about a man who is married with his own children.

My husbands mom did this the first couple of years we were married. Not sure that weird is the word i would use to describe it--however whatever word I chose would not be favorable. My husband now expects me to buy underwear for him. 8)

I guess my answer is it depends.
My MiL will get DH socks and underwear every year as like a stocking stuffer gift at Christmas. It’s something she did his whole life. I don’t think that’s weird. But if she was stopping by with packages of undies “just because”? I’d find that odd

I buy my married son socks for his Christmas Stocking every year....everyone in the family gets new socks and new toothbrushes in their stockings.....they always tease me about it.
But as far as me buying his underwear....
NO WAY.....that stopped years ago.

as regular shopping, yes.
in the examples of christmas stocking stuffers, i don't think so.
my son is 24, single. i buy him socks on occasion, but not undies.

I can’t imagine buying my sons underwear when they’re adults meaning after age 21/22... so yeah I’m going to agree that it’s weird.

Yes! I have two boys. I don't want my MIL to know what he's wearing under his pants and when my boys are older they will be buying their own... or their wife.
I don't buy my DH his underwear either. He buys his own. Maybe once in a while I buy for him if I'm out and ask if he needs anything he may mention he needs.

I feel like men are picky about their underwear. Does she speak with him about his undies to know what styles, brands, etc he likes?
That is what I find odd.

She does not ask him she just buys.......I find it weird but she also packs his lunch for him. We have been staying with his parents since we are in the process of buying new house.
I was doing laundry last night and noticed a few new pairs and he told me his mom got them first him

That is really not appropriate after college. I don't think it is appropriate for a stocking after college either. Socks in a stocking would be ok. But at some point that is not ok.

I don’t know, I think college is too old.
If you’re old enough to join the military, you’re old enough to buy your own underwear, IMO.
