Is sleeping on the swing bad?
DD loves to take naps on the swing but I am scared that she is being rocked too much..is it ok for her?

My little guy did that too -seems to be just fine! It was a phase, at 5 months he's over it...

At this point - whatever works! Ryan napped and did a lot of sleeping (at night) in his crib for the first 3-4 months.

Re: Is sleeping on the swing bad?
Same here with my DD and DS right now. At night they both were in the crib but all naps during the day, swing. They both spent a lot of time in the swing the first few months of life.

Re: Is sleeping on the swing bad?
We thought our swing was too fast for her (on the lowest setting) when she first came home. Now she uses it and has passed out on it a few times. I am not crazy about it for the way her neck seems contorted. If you are concerned about the rocking, you should be able to turn the rocking function off.

I've been concerned about my little guy's neck as well. He doesn't seem to mind, but it makes me nervous. Once he's asleep, I gently move him to his crib.

you can buy one of those things that keeps their neck in the right position. i was never a huge fan of the swing though.
