is theer a reason i shouldnt give motrin? should i stick with tylenol?

I posted about my dd sleep issues this week. i think its teeth related. I gave her one dropper of tylenol last night. i hear motrin works better but i have also heard/seen things about not giving it and its bad for kids under 2. etc etc. any thoughts?

I haven't heard anything about it being bad. Molly is cutting her molars and I have given her infant Motrin at night which has helped.

I always give DD motrin at night and tylenol during the day when she's cutting teeth or has an ear infection. I didn't think it was bad. I think you aren't supposed to give Motrin until they are 6 months.

Motrin is NOT bad for kids under 2, it is perfectly safe

My ped only recommeneds it for very high fevers if tylenol isnt working and the baby is older then 6 months.

I *think* that there is the possiblity of more side effects from motrin then from tylenol which is very safe.
