Is there a way to block certain people from friending you on facebook?
I don't even want this person to find me through someone's else's page... ughh
Can I hide myself somehow?

on top of your page there's a link for 'settings' and when you click that, there's an option for 'privacy settings.' you can modify it through there. HTH

You can search out their name on facebook and block it! There is a block feature on facebook. I did this wirh a co worker right when I signed up! They can't even put your name in and have it come up in a search!

For the most part the link are broken.
Look under settings, privacy setting and at the bottom
there is a block feature and it explains everything.

The person that I want to block is on a mutual friend's friend list so will they still be able to see that I am a member of facebook?

It says it will break any link between the friend you have that is linked to them
If you put the persons name in the block box , they won't even be able to search your name on facebook!
