Is there a weight limit for IVF?
If you are a certain amount of lbs overweight, can you be denied the IVF process?
I was put on a diet by my RE yesterday. Obviously I am going to do it because I am not selfish and I want to have a baby more than I want anything else in the world.
But I am just curious...if anyone has any information either way.

I am overwheight and was advised that losing some weight would be in my best interest, but I don't believe my RE practice puts a weight limit on IVF.

Of course I should lose weight but I was not sure if they outright denied you.

I am overweight and have done IVF. Of course, losing weight is ideal for a healthier pregnancy but the doctors didn't tell me I couldn't do IVF. However, not all doctors are the same.

Thank God  
My RE suggested I diet too, because of my PCOS but of course the darn PCOS is what made we gain all the weight in the first place!

the docs also told me that is was in mybest interest to lose wt but never enforced it but there were a lot of woman heavier than me that were in the office doing IVF

My RE told me the same. He said that I didn't have to go crazy losing it either, 10lbs could change so much. He said I should but that if I couldn't or didn't it was fine. But I agree if it wasn'tfor the da mn PCOS I wouldn't be worried about it in the first place.
