Is there any explanation or reason. . .
why babies prefer when you stand? It is hysterical, I have to videotape it. DD will stop in mid hysterical cry when I stand up. And I rock when I am sitting, so its not the movement.
It really is amazing!

With DD#1 it was because when I stood I would swing back and forth. She liked that motion. When you are sitting you have less of a range of movement. She liked the back and forth rocking I would do when I was standing.

OHMYGOD..DS WAS THE SAME WAY. the second I sat down, it was flip out time. my back was broken those first few months.

My theory is even in utereo, they are used to being walked around & "protested" aka kicked when you sat down.
