Is this a good quote for a new roof and siding

My husband received a quote for a new roof and siding. The roof (complete ripoff) is $7900 and the siding is $14,500 which includes the following

Remove all old cedar and Vinyl siding (back of house is vinyl)
Wrap house in Tyvek
Use Foam insulation on House
Install Crane Siding (he uses Market Square)

For an additional $1500 we can get cedar impression (I assume for front only-I was not at house when the man came).

Hanna, you have a handsome looking home. While I find vinyl appalling, and therefore can't comment on the reasonableness of the quote you received, you might want to take the opportunity of the tear-down to have your underlayment (walls & roof decking) checked for damage/mold and have a rider in the contract. Be aware that Tyvek shouldn't be exposed to direct sunlight for more than a day or two. Also, have the flashing around your windows and doors checked/replaced since the new Tyvek won't be able to be properly folded into these openings. This, also, should be the contractors standard procedure (no extra cost). I'm not sure what you mean "use foam insulation *on* house". Is this for around windows and doors? If so, be sure it's low/no expansion closed cell foam that's shaved smooth to ensure water doesn't drain the wrong way (into the wall cavities). Good luck on your project.
