is this a sensory issue???

when drinking his bottle or is about to go to sleep my son has started to hit his head and pull on what little hair he has on his head!!!!!! i pull his hand away and that seems enough to distract him but he hits his head pretty hard at times why is he doing this?? any advice or knowledge much appreciated.

all 3 of my kids gave done this. I dont think its a sensory thing i do think its just something to do while the eat. Eventually the older 2 stopped but Lukie is in the middle of it right niw. That and playing w his ear.

Ava does this when she's tired, and so has every other baby in our family. I think it's just a reaction to being tired.

DS is 9 months and when he's tired, he scratches his head and also pulls on his ear.
