Is this normal - 14.5 Mo old suddenly putting EVERYTHING in her mouth?
DD all of a sudden is putting everything in her mouth - like, really random gross things. She has been doing this for a few weeks now out of nowhere. She is majorly teething (cutting her molars) but, I am not sure this is the reason since many of the things she puts in her mouth couldn't possibly help with that.
She will literally pick up a speck of dust or a piece of paper or anything from the floor - look at it, smell it, then stick it in her mouth. She has started putting her brothers cars and trains in her mouth randomly which she never did before. Today she even stuck a crayon in her mouth which she has never done! It is impossible to keep up with this! Every where we go she will find the little speck of something on the floor and stick it in her mouth

I think it is normal. I use to say to myself that DS was so good with not putting stuff in his mouth when he was a little over one. Then within a week or so of turning 13 months, everything went in his mouth. Now at 18 months, I am constantly saying "get that out of your mouth!!!"
