Is your child TOTALLY different with you then with DH?

When Im not around John and DH, for the most part, play soooo nicely..no whining..no fighting...

I went downstairs bc I felt bad that dh had john for about an hour... DH was sitting on the couch and DS way laying on his stomach coloring@Chat Icon

I could NEVER get john to do that...when they are outside together.. I peaked out the window while in the shower the other day.. JOhn was sweeping the deck nice and quietly with daddy?

with me.. whiny...wants to do everything he isn't suppose to do...ugg always seems like a fight!!!

Granted..daddy def lets him do things mommy wouldn't..but really?? sitting quitely coloring while dh watches tv..NEVER happen if I were in the room....

If If I then JOIN them.. he gets up grabs my fingers to go somewhere..

Not sure If im making sense...but anyway....anyone else have this experience? And do I take it personally...how do I fix it?

yep Chat Icon jack is always up my asssss, attached to my leg, whining, wanting me to hold him, wanting to climb etc etc etc

last night, i was cooking dinner and larry was laying on the floor watching tv. next thing i know, jack climbs into his chair and lays next to larry to watch tv (the very same chair that he screams about sitting in, in the morning)... he sat there for 30 minutes watching tv with daddy. would NEVER happen with me.

Yup...Emerson spends the day whining, wanting to be held, doesnt sleep, doesnt want to go in the car, doesnt behave in stores etc. for ME.
But when daddy is there, forget it. It's like someone flips a switch and shes the perfect angel. She plays nice, she laughs, talks, walks with him to the car (yet I have to carry her) goes in her seat with no issues, will go in her stroller with no prob etc.
its so annoying lol

Ugh! We all have the same kid!! Mason is an angel for DH. Chat Icon
He's also an angel for the grandparents. More so for my IL's b/c they don't see him as much and my parents watch him every Friday.

Once Mason wasn't doing the right thing with DH. DH told him not to do it a few times so he started to have a tantrum. I was close to them and Mason actually reached out to hit me! Chat Icon I didn't even do anything, but he takes his aggression out on mommy. Chat Icon
Daddy can't do wrong. Even when we pull up at the house and he just sees daddy's car it's "Daddy! Daddy!"

DS is generally the same temperament wise with either DH or with me, but we also have a general similar attitude about how we deal with DS and what we do when we're with him alone. BUT, DS still plays differently with each of us and he definitely thinks Daddy is hilarious and more fun than Mommy Chat Icon Chat Icon
