I.T. question regarding floppy disks - Please help!

I transferred all my picture files from my ancient computer to floppy disks. 30 disks later, I thought I had everything saved. Now Im trying to retrieve my pictures and it says they are not formatted. Are my pics good as gone?

what kinda pictures are you fitting on floppy disks? they don't hold much at all.

there is software that can retreieve things, i would google software recovery, floppy or something

i have retreived stuff off floppy before

where were the pictures before you xfer them adn are they still there?

They were digital pictures from my camera. They dont hold much at all, but it was my only source of transferring data (yes, that's how old my computer was ) I've ditched said computer, so all I have now are the discs. Now Im trying to transfer them to my new computer and it says they are not formatted.
