i just wanted to say i have a close friend and her DS did that until around a year. happy all the time, but with puke on them constantly! you literally could not stand near them after they ate because of the projectile. drs checked them for Pyloric Sten. and no. they eventually out grew it and still gained wait so they did not deem it an issue.

Ugh,Jess, I'm so sorry this is happening to Emma!  She could be spitting it up because she's not used to the new formula. Give it a day or two for her to get used to it. When we switched Samantha's formula she did the same thing until she got used to the new taste.

please listen to me - i know this is the last thing on your mind but you NEED to try to relax and calm down...babies can pick up anxiety in the blink of an eye! if you're tense and worried about emma, she won't feel better anytime soon...have confidence that whatever this is, will get better soon and that the drs are competant and will make her better...i know it's hard to listen to this but please try to not be a nervous wreck!! she'll get better!!!

Jess is she just projectile vomiting or is she having bubbles etc? I ask because DS projectile vomited until I want to say 3 or 4 months. Now I know this is a debate topic on this site, but have you tried giving her cereal? I swear this is what made DS do a complete 180! We added cereal to the bottle, that just barely worked, but we spoon fed him at 3 months.
He was always fine when projectile vomiting, like still smiling, almost like it never happened. I was a WRECK with this, I cried so many times because of this, because I didn't know what I was doing wrong, but he's now 8 months and ((knock on wood)) hasn't done this since he started solids. Maybe ask your ped. about that?

If its not pyloric stenosis what she has sounds like a severe dairy allergy. Not to scare you but I would have the hospital try Elecare or Neocate(they probably won't have AA mine didn't) Also your Dr can call their Nutramigen rep to get you some samples to tide you over. Also AA is NOT the same as regular nutramigen. Regular has milk protein in it wheras AA is Amino Acids-NO dairy. Also ask for an epi-pen and get some benadryl. Ask your Dr for dosing.
ETA: You have her on soy right? Many dairy allergic babies are allergic to soy also..
