It varies. It can be $100 to $250. Some people don't include the "plus plus" of tax and gratuity. It depends on the hall, some are more expensive than others. I'd say you can't go wrong with the $125-$150 range per person.

I'm trying to get an idea & trying to offer assistant in planning ideas for someone looking to do around 60 guests.

It definitely is going to depend...when DH and I were looking three years ago, we saw anywhere from $80pp (incl. tax & gratuity) to $175pp + tax & gratuity.

There are definitely places that are well over $175pp + tax & gratuity, but we didn't look at any of those.

Do you have any more details? If they want a 60 person wedding at a restaurant, it can cost tens of thousands less than a 60 person wedding at an upscale reception hall.

I paid around 150pp last year.

watermill, westbury manor p, leonards nd thatched cottage have beautiful rooms for a 50 guests min. their prices where less than $75 p/p 5 years ago. but remember prices change dramatically between time of yrs, day of the week time of day

I went to a wedding at Panama Hatties in huntington station several years ago. It was not inexpensive but it was definitely a wedding feel in a restaurant environment. I cannot speak to pp price although I do not believe it is inexpensive.

For 60 people, I'd say check out Jedediah Hawkins. I think they can do a dance floor.

The cost of the wedding will depend upon what month the couple chooses.
Summer and early Fall is prime season. Off season wedding is between Jan-April. November can be a hit or a miss with pricing.

I got married at Westbury Manor in November (2 months ago) with 125 guests for a VERY reasonable price with a ton of throw ins.

We negotiated a lot with halls, and Westbury was the best with what we got.

Irish Coffee Pub has a very nice room upstairs that would be good for that many people. I don't know if the Metropolitan in Glen Cove is still open, but they have two rooms and the smaller would be good for that size wedding. And George Washington Manor had smaller rooms too I believe.

DH and I were married on a Friday night in mid-October (considered to still be peak) and got an unbelievable rate pp because we booked 6 months before the date. Vendors know that the likelihood of booking an open date with only 6 months left is pretty slim, so they will offer amazing prices. We were married at a very popular venue for less than what people were paying who booked years in advance. Incidentally, the lower prices held true for our other vendors as well (dj, video, photo).

SO much goes into the cost of the wedding. venue, month, day of the week, etc.

I'd say the minimum for a simple wedding on LI would be $75-100. For a bigger to-do I'd expect it to cost $125-150++ before tax and grat.

Thatched Cottage does packages for around $10K w/ photographer, flowers, dj all included. We've been to weddings there and it is very nice.

I got married at Miller Beach Surf Club. We had 55 guest Saturday Afternoon wedding. The price was under 70 a person. They do one event at a time and the view is awesome!!!
